Release groups
Editorial product families grouping related release editions.
A release group is the editorial product family that groups related release editions under one title (for example all pressings and remasters of the same album). Release groups help browse and search product families without collapsing distinct editions.
Parameters
These parameters describe the product family. Concrete editions are represented as releases.

Release groups can carry external references such as MusicBrainz Release Group IDs or provider-specific product-family identifiers.
