MusiProfile
Aggregate listener profiles for a set of analysed tracks.
Overview
MusiProfile turns a set of analysed tracks into aggregate listener profiles. You choose a selection or a collection of music, and MusiProfile summarises what that music says about its audience using intelligence MusiMap already holds for those tracks.
This page explains the product. For request and response details, use the Profiling API guide.
What it gives you
- Aggregate profile results per requested profile type, such as musical, OCEAN, MBTI, or enneagram views.
- A persisted history, so a profile you generated can be listed and retrieved later.
The result is the aggregate profile only; MusiProfile does not return track-level data.
How it relates to MusiTag
MusiProfile does not send audio through a new analysis on every request. It uses the existing analysis, including MusiTag, of the tracks you select. A profile needs at least 5 distinct analysed tracks; tracks that are not found, duplicates and tracks without that analysis do not count.
Where MusiMap Atlas is used, that preparation already exists for applicable content, so you can request profiles without first ingesting that music as your own catalogue. Read more in How MusiMap integrates.
Credits
Creating a profile uses Profiling credits. The public credit key is
profiling. Generating a profile consumes credits; listing and retrieving stored
profiles does not. Balances and history are described in
Credits. Full consumption rules are in the
Profiling API guide.
In the dashboard
Use the MusiProfile dashboard tool to generate a profile over analysed tracks and inspect the structured result. Sign-in is required.
In the API
Profiles are created, listed, and retrieved through the Profiling API guide.
